Broward Healthy Start Coalition, Inc. invites qualified independent auditing firms having sufficient non-profit and governmental accounting and auditing experience to submit proposals to provide Independent External Auditing Services beginning with fiscal year end June 30, 2024.  Written proposals must be received by 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 2024, at Broward Healthy Start Coalition, 4620 N. Responses to Questions posed at the Pre-Bid Proposal Conference on March 19, 2024

  1. Does the auditing firm assist with notes for 990? The selected auditing firm will assist with preparing the notes for Form 990. Notes are an integral part of the financial statements and provide additional context to the numbers reported on Form 990. They typically include information about the organization’s accounting policies, detailed breakdowns of certain items, and other disclosures that are relevant to understanding the financial condition and operations of the Coalition. 
  2. Are Auditors required to complete Form 990?  The selected auditing firm will work with the Coalition Director of Finance and Administration to complete Form 990 as part of the audit process, ensuring that the financial statements and accompanying notes are accurate and complete.
