Perinatal HIV Provider Network

The Perinatal HIV Provider Network facilitated by the Florida Department of Health in Broward works diligently to address the needs of pregnant women.

The Perinatal HIV Provider Network, facilitated by the Florida Department of Health in Broward, addresses the needs of HIV-positive pregnant women to prevent perinatal transmission. The goal is to eliminate new cases of HIV transmission during pregnancy and birth through routine first and third trimester screenings for sexually transmitted infections and HIV, in accordance with F.A.C. 64D-3.042.

The network comprises perinatal staff from the Florida Department of Health in Broward County, hospital labor and delivery staff, OB/GYN providers, pharmacists, infectious disease specialists, community partners, and other professionals dedicated to preventing perinatal HIV transmission.
