Mission One Year Strong is a Community Project focused on making sure that women have
healthy pregnancies, and babies have a healthy start in life.

The Health Resource Systems Administration (HRSA) of the Federal Government, through its Catalyst for Infant Health Equity Grant, funded the Broward Healthy Start Coalition to address the high number of infant deaths in this geographic area.  Our site was one of the nine highest rates in the country.  The project’s intent is to address the cultural disparity in infant deaths.

Mission One Year Strong

Through funding from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) via the Catalyst for Infant Health Equity Grant, the Broward Healthy Start Coalition was selected to lead efforts in addressing the high rates of infant mortality in our region—one of the nine most affected areas in the nation.

Mission One Year Strong is a community-based initiative dedicated to supporting healthy pregnancies and ensuring that every baby has a healthy start in life.

Our primary goal is to reduce infant deaths and to address the underlying factors that contribute to unequal outcomes in birth and early childhood health. By taking a strategic, equity-centered approach, we are working to help remove barriers and improve access to care and support for families across our community.

Together, we are committed to creating a healthier beginning for all children and families starting from day one.
