Welcome to the Parenting Playbook! This is a special place for moms, dads, and parents who are getting ready to have a baby or already have one. We have free classes and easy tips to help make parenting easier. Whether you’re getting ready for a baby or just had one, we’re here. You can join one class or come to all of them – it’s up to you! Meet other parents, learn from experts, and feel more confident as you take care of your little one.
Childbirth
Join our FREE 3-part group Childbirth Education series, led by clinical childbirth experts from Heritage Birth Collaborative. This comprehensive program covers all aspects of pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period.
These classes are conducted in English and held in person on Thursday evenings from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Margate Catherine Young Branch Library. Click the “Register” button below for upcoming dates of our next 3-part group series.

Get ready, moms! Broward Healthy Start Coalition is here to cheer you on with breastfeeding support and classes. There’s a class for you, whether you’re just starting or already on your journey. Choose your class below and sign up today!
Parent Connection Series
Our programs help families with babies learn and grow together. If you’re going to have a baby or already have one, we’re here to help. Come to one class or try them all! You’ll learn new things, connect with other parents, and find joy in your parenting journey!
We Are Having a Baby
This series helps moms, dads, and caregivers get ready for a new baby. Every Tuesday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., we talk about pregnancy and your baby’s first year. If you come to all ten classes, you’ll get a diaper bag filled with baby items! Sign up below to learn more about each week’s topic.
Growing in Joy | Baby & Me
Fun Time for Parents and Babies!
Join us every 4th Tuesday of the month from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. for music, quiet time, and fun! Each month has a new theme to help babies grow strong, feel safe, and enjoy time with their parents. Sign up below to learn more about each month’s topic and where to go.
Postpartum | Baby & Beyond
This class is a caring place for moms to learn and feel supported. We talk about changes after having a baby and special times. Come join us on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Register now for more information.

This series is a fun and friendly place for dads to meet, share stories, and learn cool tips about being a parent. We talk about real-life stuff that matters to you and your baby.
